The Best Seat in the House

By Lexi Holian | Monday, June 15, 2015

There really isn’t a bad seat in the house. The dining room at Kimball’s Kitchen is circular in nature so that everyone has a view of the spectacular sunsets over the Currituck Sound. That is, when they aren’t watching the chefs creating in the exhibition-style kitchen.

Located soundfront at the Sanderling Resort, Kimball’s highlights seafood from our local waters along with Certified Angus Beef, handmade pasta and a considerable raw bar for a fine meal that doesn’t require a special occasion. Kids can dine on half-size entrees from the regular menu, while adults appreciate the upscale, resort casual atmosphere. The restaurant also offers a Wine Spectator award-winning wine list and hand-crafted cocktails to complement your Carolina sustainable meal.

This locals’ favorite is open Tuesday through Saturday from May to October and is available for events or large parties on Sundays and Mondays. Because the restaurant keeps it to five days a week, frequent diners know that they can always expect consistent, impeccable service. Bringing more than 20 years of culinary experience to the Kimball’s team, Chef de Cuisine John Botkin will be there every night ensuring that your experience is just right, every time.
