Event Description:
This workshop is designed to familiarize the participant with practical and easily applicable information on composting in your home garden, as an intentional replication of a natural process. Some of the topics we aim to cover in the workshop are the benefits of composting, terminology, the physical and chemical changes that occur in the compost pile or bin, various techniques for composting and a troubleshooting Q&A.
Instructors Terry Zeytoonian and Lou Ellen Flowers request that participants bring work gloves and dress appropriately for a visit to the Elizabethan Garden compost site and greenhouse.
