Hatteras Village, Hatteras Storytelling Festival - Canceled
Event Description:

Making its debut in May, 2013, the Hatteras Storyteling Festival, is a lively weekend of yarn tellin', foot tappin' ---Hatteras style. Sponsored by the Outer Banks Visitor Bureau and the Hatters Village Civic Association, the event features some of the country's most celebrated storytellers, local story tellers and local musicians. The seafaring heritage of the village has generated a wealth of stories about adventure, bravery and family. People gather in the Hatteras Village Civic Center to listen to music from local talent and stories about coastal lore.

This year Donald Davis, world renown storyteller, will not only tell stories but also conduct a workshop for those interested in learning the art of storytelling.  The Storytelling Festival begins Friday evening with the workshop Saturday and more storytelling and music Saturday evening.
