Corolla to Nags Head Surf
Corolla to Nags Head Sound

Good Morning Corolla, We have some wind moving in today from the SW at 12 kts. The waves are 1 foot and we have a cool 58 degree water. I saw conflicting water temps yesterday but  didn't find out until late afternoon. We started out rough in the beginning of the week but we just had 3 day's of killer fishing. Brad Ruby of Westminster MD has been sending in some shots this week and hit this 30" Houndfish or needlefish on a lure. Great  job Brad And thanks for the picture I know I have a few more of you so tune in there will be more post coming. The fishing did slow some yesterday with the water temp changing. You will still see mullet, croaker and spot out there so don't give up!! The blues should stick around and the water will turn around if we get a wind change.
The piers have slowed up this morning and the nearshored fleet was hit and miss yesterday. There were ribbonfish, albacore, blues and Spanish and some red drum!! Offshore had a good mix of yellow and blackfin, wahoo, big eye and some gaffer mahi.
We have open spots in the calendar next week for charters just give us a call.
Send all your pictures in to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com and we will post them one by one and thank you.
