Windy and a little gloomy this morning. We may see some sunshine later this afternoon and it might be a good time tomorrow morning to get out, the wind will be calm till the afternoon and then pick back up. We will see some larger waves tomorrow as well. There has been some decent size bluefish and trout hitting in the surf. Last week we did see some over slot size drum and a good overall mix to the fish, just a good assortment and that kept the fishermen happy. we have had our fair share of not so good weather and we get a good day here and there and the fishing has been good. Not much to report today it is quiet out and only a few on the piers so far this morning. Jennette's did get one big red this morning and there are no boat reports. Water is hanging around the 68 degree mark and the waves around 2 to4 feet.
The picture above was an attempt to patch up some holes to keep the horses from getting from the north beach down to Corolla. It did keep the horses out and they came up with a fish trap as well. Plenty of trout were stuck in the fence as the high tide reseeded. Easy fishing!!
