Good day everyone. The water has hit 59 up here as I said it would and conditions should be fairly good as we move into the weekend, warm weather is coming!! There is a lot of activity up here as shops gear up to reopen. The big drum have turned back on down at the point for the last couple of day's with mullet, sheepshead and pompano with the warmer water south of the bridge. North of the bridge we are still on the cooler side, but we are seeing mullet and some blues making there way up. Jennette's pier is open and they are catching blues and mullet. The offshore seen is fintastic with tuna and mahi abound. The trout fishing on the inside remains very very good along with striper and bluefish. A report of a couple of cobia caught yesterday also which is good news, so here we go!!

We have been doing our best to get back open and I have said we will open on May 22nd. We are trying to push that date forward to this Saturday may 16th. I know we have some customers that I have been in contact with that are coming up that weekend and I will try to send some messages out to them to let them know but just in case i am putting it on line as well and we will do our best to be open for you. Remember to bring your masks, and keep your distance while in the store we just want to be as safe as we can in these crazy times. We will limit the amount of customers in the store at any one time so we just ask for your patients in this and we will do are best to keep things moving along.

We are seeing an up tic in  Charter fishing and if your interested just send an e-mail to obxbaitandtackle@yayoo.com and I will get you all set up or answer any questions you may have. Thanks Derek
