Offshore from Oregon Inlet
Inshore from Oregon Inlet
Corolla to Nags Head Piers
Corolla to Nags Head Surf
Corolla to Nags Head Sound

Finally some sunshine this morning and calm winds. The fog has been an issue this week and more rain on the way. But there is some good news, we finally got some reports of the beach. It still remains slow but several anglers caught puppy drum and a black drum reported which is good news, it shows that the fish are moving up. Shrimp and fish bites were working the best. The little bridge in Nags Head has a load of anglers on it and there were puppy drum, black drum and trout on it but did slow down compared to what it was. Avalon pier reports some striper and mullet on it and OBX pier has bluefish this morning. The nearshore boats had Spanish, bluefish, drum and trout. The offshore fleet struggled yesterday with thick fog and most of the boats came up empty on the tuna. The pictures above have the Carolina Girl one of our charter boats really took first place yesterday and killed the tuna all day long, and there was only a couple of boats getting any tuna on the boat and most came back empty. The Little Shell one of our other long range boats couldn't get the tuna to bite ether but did manage to limit out on tile fish with 2 citations and they are great eating fish. So a hard day for the offshore fleet but everyday is different, the fish are there. We will keep you posted.

Send those pictures in to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com and check us out at obxbaitandtackle.com for charter fishing and remember to book your trip early to ensure your day and time that you want!! And we thank you.
