Corolla to Nags Head Surf
Corolla to Nags Head Sound

We have a good week ahead of us. There is a strong rip today so extra weight is going to be a must. The waves at 2 feet with a water temp of 62. The local surf has not been to bad, but it may be hard to hold bottom today, but with that said we have seen some big mullet, some trout, puppy drum, blue's and a couple of flounder. The little bridge this morning is on a good trout bite. Avalon pier reporting puppy drum and mullet. OBX pier reports trout, blue's  and mullet. The nearshore boats had a great day on the cobia, there are Spanish and blue's and trout there as well. There is a good catches of puppy drum with striper on the inside. The offshore fleet had a whopper of a day with the tuna. The yellowfin are big with many citations, and the big eye's came to play as I said it would break wide open. These fish came in at up to 243 #s. There were also wahoo and some mahi, but they were scarce. There are big blue marlin out there to!!

The fishing is very good so let's go!! We have charters available give us a call 252-453-3339 and remember to sent those photos in to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com  and we thank you.

FYI our shrimp and crab boat are starting up and ready to go, these are great trips and fun for the whole family. These are hands on trips and you learn how to catch shrimp and crabs and you keep what you catch and take it home for the freshest crab boil you will ever have. We have opening's !!
