Hello happy fisherman, we had a good storm last night and it did cool the water a touch to 75 today. The local seen up here has been mainly mullet, spot, croakers. There have been a few drum in the slot hit the beach. The sad news I guess is there are Spanish out there but unwilling to come in range of the fisherman and I had a report from Duck from an angler with the same issues, but that's fishing. There are also bluefish in the area as well. The piers have puppy drum, spot, ribbon fish, a 24 inch striper, mullet, trout and pompano with Avalon and nags head doing the best. The nearshore boats have plenty of Spanish to choose from along with the bluefish. In the mix amberjacks and albacore and ribbonfish. On the bay side some big trout ate hitting with drum and sheepshead around the structures. Offshore boat's getting back after the yellowfin with good success however the sharks are taking a share of them, but don't worry the fish boxes are full. The big eye's are there to one hitting the scale at 148#s with some nice mahi. The billfish are coming in Blue and white with sailfish, not to bad of a day on the water!!

It's that time again. Time for crab and shrimp charterers and you keep what you catch. It's great family fun and a hands on experience, if interested give us a call 252-453-3339 we also have some spots open for fishing charterers as well.

Send those photos in to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com   and we thank you.
