Offshore from Oregon Inlet
Inshore from Oregon Inlet
Corolla to Nags Head Piers
Corolla to Nags Head Surf
Corolla to Nags Head Sound

Morning to everyone. First up we are going to close early today and I meant to put out a late report yesterday and didn't. We will be open from 8 to 2 pm and take a little time off to regain what little sanity I have left. The firework show will be happening tonight up at Corolla park and we have no intention of getting caught in that mess.
The local surf seen up here is odd. I am getting a lot of people saying they have caught nothing and you really can't ask for much better conditions out there. The water is 75 and clear and one guy had a school of minnows that he found which should be a good indicator that the fish will come in close to feed on these guys. The Spanish are out there just to far to reach in  most cases. There have been a few drum caught and trout and mullet, croakers. I'm not sure if the folks that aren't catching fish just maybe doing something wrong somehow. In ether case some catching fish and some are not but that's what we have up here for the time being.
The piers this morning with Avalon has  mullet, spot and flounder. Nags head with Spanish, bluefish, spot and a 35 inch Cobia. the other piers are slow which also tells me why I'm hearing the same up here.
The nearshore boat's getting a bunch of Spanish and bluefish and on the inside a lot of keeper drum, trout continues to be very good as the same up here on the sound side if you can get out on the water.
The offshore fleet continues to do well and getting plenty of yellowfin with some wahoo and mahi with some billfish.

We have charters open next week just give us a call and we will get you rigged and ready.
Send your photos in to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com       It doesn't matter what you catch I am completely out of pic's. Help me out and you can be a star in the next fishing report!!
