Inshore from Oregon Inlet
Corolla to Nags Head Piers
Corolla to Nags Head Surf
Corolla to Nags Head Sound

Much cooler today!!  It is cold and windy with that northwest wind and hopefully the last of it. Sorry, I was out yesterday and the fishing has picked up a bit. The water temp today did drop a couple to 54 but it should turn around after this front passes. We are starting to see some bluefish move up the coast along with speckled trout and there has been some nice shad of the piers or poor man's tarpon as we like to call them. It is quite off of the piers this morning and more than likely along the beach as well. There are a few out there giving it their best but it will be choppy, sloppy, and cool. We will start to warm up this weekend despite some rain coming in and if we can get up around 60 on the water temp things will kick-off. The nearshore boats are finding some large drum, trout, seabass, and flounder unfortunately they are out of season. The offshore fleet has been out and they had some good catches of yellowfin. blackfin, wahoo some gaffer mahi so the offshore fishing is very good. The last couple of days along the beach has been slow but some better quality of fish have been caught and there was another striper caught too. We will keep you up to date as things change.

We have a couple of tournaments coming at the end of next month so if your looking for charterers they will be hard to come by. In any case, if your thinking of a charter plan ahead and book early as you can we have the most affordable deposits around to hold your spot till you arrive. Don't forget we also offer crab and shrimping trips which is a great family day on the water and you keep what you catch and you can have a great dinner that night. We are also offering sunset cruises this year and we just added a new boat to the fleet and you can hit the bay watch the sunset and have a few drinks with family and friends, enjoyable and fun just call the shop for more info.

Got some pictures send them in and we will feature you in the fish report we love to get them in send them or any questions to oxbaitantackle@yahoo.com and we thank you.

FYI we have a lot of boat changes this year I am trying my best to update the website but this seems to take much longer than I would like so for charters some of the boats on the sight will be different but we can ensure they are bigger and better and if interested I can get you photos sent to you.
