Corolla Fish Report

Friday, June 11, 2021
Offshore from Oregon Inlet
Inshore from Oregon Inlet
Corolla to Nags Head Piers
Corolla to Nags Head Surf
Corolla to Nags Head Sound

We Hit 70 degrees, water temp, WooHoo!! The surf fishing has been on the slow side but hopefully, it picks up with the warmer water. Andrew sent in his photos and reported a good trout bite with mostly throwbacks but a couple of keepers on Zoom along with mullet and some small blues so great job Andrew and thanks for the report. We had another report this morning on a 3# trout caught with a bucktail with a mullet head on it, hey anything can happen. If the water temp holds out for this next week I would think the fishing should be good. The wave height will pick up as well so we may see some drum activity also. It is good news to see even if they're small trout and blues bitting right now.

The piers this morning with black drum, Spanish, bluefish, croaker, and sheepshead on the pilings.

The nearshore boats had a gd day on triggerfish, sea bass, Spanish, and bluefish.

Offshore getting it done with good size yellowfin, blackfin, bigeye tunas. Mahi, sailfish, blue marlin with a bluefin in the mix. The bottom fishing remains solid with some real nice size tilefish and seabass.

Charters available for the most part unless you want offshore they are pretty full but call us and we will see what is available for this next week.

Send your photo in and we will put you in the daily fish report to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com
