Offshore from Oregon Inlet
Inshore from Oregon Inlet
Corolla to Nags Head Piers
Corolla to Nags Head Surf
Corolla to Nags Head Sound

Wild rough Friday. We can see some pop-up heavy showers today and tomorrow. The surf will pick up this afternoon and the rip current will be much stronger for at least the next couple of days. The Water temp this morning is a healthy 75 degrees. The next couple of days will just be rough fishing but it comes when we change over for the week so we shouldn't miss too much. Things have really slowed down up here this month it is an unusually slow August so those of you coming up in the near future should have plenty of room to roam around. However, you may find some of the restaurants closing at the first of the month will see how many do. As for the fishing not much has changed and I am not getting any reports off of the beach so when you come in and ask me what's going on out there I really don't know I'm not out there I'm in here!
The piers are a good way to beat the rough surf so take advantage of them when conditions change. The y have a mix of fish on them with bar jacks, black sea bass, bluefish, pigfish, and flounder, and yes still out of season. The nearshore boaters are getting ribbonfish, king mackerel, and Spanish. Offshore packing there coolers with yellowfin, mahi, wahoo, tilefish, and the white and blue marlin are there to play with too!!
