Super Sunday and finally some word from the beach. There is slot size drum out there. Now it isn't red hot but they are catching them and I would also assume there is a good mullet bite as well. There are some birds working parts of the beach so we do have some bait out there which is all good news. Now you can't catch them if you don't have a line in the water that is the trick and patience will generally pay off. But with good news there is always bad news to follow we do have a storm coming in tonight and it's suppose to blow hard so conditions may not be so great tomorrow, but we will have to check it out tomorrow, at least we now know there are fish out there.

Charter reports are a little scarce today but the offshore fishing has been pretty good with both yellow and blackfin, mahi, wahoo, and king mackerel and occasionally we have seen some marlin. Closer to shore down south thee are some nice size drum to catch along with catch and release sea bass and catfish to the inside.

Send your questions or to book a charter to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com we are still running short hours from 9am to 3pm and we thank you.
