Offshore from Oregon Inlet
Inshore from Oregon Inlet
Corolla to Nags Head Piers

Well we are having great weather but the fishing has been slow up in Corolla. Still just havn't heard anything being caught. There should be at least some mullet out there. I went out for the last couple of night's down in Kitty Hawk for scratch not even a nibble. The water has been muddy along there despite the reports of some bluefish coming in. Fishing is still good to the south with big blues along the southern beaches. Little bridge is working again with trout, bluefish, black drum and flounder on shrimp. Nearshore has bluefish and inshore with blue's, flounder, drum and shark. Offshore had there way with the yellowfin yesterday with limits and some really nice early season mahi as well.

Looking at the sea surface temps this morning we have some cooler water pushing down from the north and is pushing the warm water out away from land and is not uncommon for this time of year just due to ocean currants and will eventually push in but that's why we are seeing the better fishing to the south right now.

Thinking of a fishing charter look no further right now and won't last to long you can get are big boat  the True Grit with captain Hank for a half day charter. This 53 foot offshore fishing machine is usually just runs offshore but is now offering half day trips. This boat is fully loaded and all trips include all your bait, rods and reels and your licence for just 650.00. We also have the Carolina Girl running as well for half day, three quarter day and all day offshore and she is a magnificent 38 foot viking fully loaded and half day starts at 625.00. Book now and avoid the rush when your here and have your spot reserved just give us a call. We are looking at a great season this year and hope to see you here.
