Dare County Arts Council, Fred Vallade's Solo Exhibit
Event Description:

Join us in June for Fred Vallade's solo exhibit. There will be an opening reception on Friday, June 7.

In 2018 Fred Vallade started to paint again after 22 years of doing etchings and 25 years of making pottery. He dared himself to do something different and decided to try abstract/mixed media painting, which led to changes in his style and more freedom in his creative journey. Fred incorporates random and deliberate marks, lines, shapes and colors, often in several layers in his art and says that texture and depth (or lack of) are very important aspects of his work.

New mixed media paintings and ceramics in this exhibit will represent this artistic transformation.

Join us for an opening reception on Friday, June 7 from 6pm - 8pm. There will be light hors d'oeuvres and libations, and guests will have the opportunity to meet Fred. The reception is free and open to the public.

The show will be on display June 7-30, 2019.
