Event Description: 

Participants will learn the six rights of medication administration, the steps for receiving, preparing, administering and documenting medication, the skills needed to safely administer different types of medication to children, and the most common medication errors and rule violations, how to prevent them from happening, and how to document errors if they occur. This training covers oral, topical, inhalation, and instillation medication and the use of epinephrine auto-injectors. It will NOT cover other types of injectable medication, infusion medication or rectal gels. Training will be provided by an RN partner. Any person who will administer medication should take Part 2 training. Part 1 MUST be completed prior to Part 2.
