Offshore from Hatteras Inlet
Inshore from Hatteras Inlet
Hatteras Sound
It was another gorgeous week of weather here on Hatteras.  The inshore fishing was on fire as boats returned with limits of Puppy Drum and had many Big Drum releases as well.  When they weren't filling the fish boxes with Drum they were catching Speckled Trout.  Nearshore the Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish continue to bite.  While the Cobia bite has certainly slowed down, we did have several nice citations caught this week and several smaller ones that were released.  Offshore our boats continue to catch Blackfin Tuna and Dolphin, however the bite did slow this week.  Several Wahoo and Yellowfin Tuna were caught as well.  Many of our boats opted for Bottom fishing and that did not disappoint.  Bottom fishing produced nice citation sized Grouper and Tilefish, as well as an abundant catch of Triggerfish, Black Sea Bass, and Vermillion Snapper.  The Sailfish bite was slower than last week, but boats still managed several Blue Marlin and White Marlin releases.  The weather is looking nice for the coming days and we are looking forward to another week of happy anglers and coolers full of fish! Come fish with us! For all the details head to hatterasharbor.com.
