Spring Into Tuna
Mother nature has been in a mood here in Hatteras. Temperatures have risen to nearly 70 for a few days then plummeted to 40's with wind being a pretty steady companion this spring. There have been some beautiful days that we have certainly appreciated however. As we come into Spring the Blackfin Tuna fishing has been great with boats catching several citation weight (20lbs+) on a regular basis. Wahoo are just starting to peek in and as usual in the spring they are a nice class of fish. Several charters have been out targeting large sharks and they were not disappointed with catch and releases of over 8' specimens. The first hints of Inshore fishing as boats were catching large Bluefish around the Inlet and Red Drum were finally starting to bite. Our onsite Deli is open for the season ready to pack your fishing charter breakfast and lunch. Days are already starting to book up so don't miss out.
