Inshore from Oregon Inlet
The fishing has been very good recently. The sound continues to produce very good numbers and size of puppy drum and speckled trout. Lately there have been quite a few really nice flounder as well as sea mullet. Sheepshead are definitely biting in the sound and along the beach. Cobia have been caught in good numbers and large sizes, including several citations. Beaches are producing puppy drum, specks, sea mullet, and blues. Offshore there have great catches of tuna with some mahi too. Reports of Blue Marlin are surfacing too.
