Weekend Fishing Report

Please send any questions or pictures to oceanseastobx@gmail.com

Offshore boats had a great weekend with plenty of YELLOWFIN, some good MAHI catches, limits of TILEFISH, few WAHOO, and scattered BILLFISH. A few boats saw three or four BILLFISH. Hopefully in the next couple weeks it gets better and better.

Inshore fishing is a lot better than it was a month ago. The wrecks are holding AMBERJACK, BARACUDA, SPADEFISH, and TRIGGERFISH. Some good top water AMBERJACK fishing yesterday. KING MACKEREL are starting to show up and SPANISH MACKEREL fishing is improving. Also the RIBBONFISH are still being caught.

Sound fishing is great with lots of TROUT of all sizes, tons of DRUM, FLOUNDER, and SHEEPSHEAD on all bridges.

Piers are catching KING MACKEREL and COBIA on live bait. Also heard of a few TARPON still around. The last few days better SPANISH MACKEREL and BLUEFISH fishing. Also some SEA MULLET, POMPANO, FLOUNDER, and DRUM. The beach fishing is producing SHARKS, FLOUNDER, BLUEFISH, PUPPY DRUM,POMPANO, and SEA MULLET.

The nice trout in the picture was caught on Sneaky Pete's charter today and the triggers and spades were caught on Fin-Ally charters. Tuna fever in the picture below had a great catch of tunas and tiles. The picture on the left is Mitch Biggs and his daughter.
