Yesterday Offshore boats had good catches of MAHI and BLUE MARLIN down south with one boat fighting a BLUE MARLIN for 3.5 hours. Boats East of the inlet caught some YELOWFIN and BIGEYE. I heard of a few boats having great BIGEYE catches. Lucas Jolly was running the Sea Breeze today and they caught 6 BIGEYE. Again today several boats caught limits of TILEFISH.
Sound fishing remains awesome with a few BIG DRUM caught along with plenty of slot DRUM. The BIG DRUM was caught by Justin Riley in his bass boat behind the inlet. David Rohde of riomar charters on his fly rod caught several PUPPY DRUM. Also Tommy Chance caught a really nice FLOUNDER on his fly rod.
Inshore fishing continues to be hit or miss on the BLUEFISH and SPNISH MACKEREL. Few KING MACKEREL and COBIA around too. Any bridge has plenty of SHEEPSHEAD.
Surf and piers had POMPANO, BLUEFISH ,SPANISH MACKEREL, SEA MULLET, FLOUNDER, and PUPPY DRUM.
