September fishing has been great so far! With only 1 week left for FLOUNDER "season", There are lots being caught.

PUPPY DRUM & BIG DRUM has been really good in the surf and sound. Lots of keeper size fish.

Bridges are still holding plenty of SHEEPSHEAD, piers are catching some SPANISH MACKEREL, BLUEFISH, SEA MULLET,ALBACORE, CROAKER, AND SPOT.

In the surf you will also find some BLUEFISH, SEA MULLET, FLOUNDER, SPOT, CROAKER, AND POMPANO. In addition to all the DRUM.

Inshore  boats are catching lots of DRUM, TROUT, SEA MULLET, FLOUNDER, BLUEFISH, SPANISH MACKEREL, AND RIBBONFISH

Offshore boats are still catching BLUE MARLIN, WHITE MARLIN, SAILFISH, BIG EYE TUNA, YELLOWFIN TUNA, few MAHI, few WAHOO, and some KING MACKEREL. Some big schools of COBIA have been spotted around the towers. Few still being caught.

Pictured is Brian Verne with a nice Spanish mackerel caught on Avalon Pier, Lee McFarland with flounder and puppy drum, Gene Perry - getcha one charters with a nice flounder, John from Manteo with a 7lb flounder, Jason Wolf with a BIG DRUM, and Virginia Dare Fishing charters mid day trip catches of Albacore, Ribbons and Spanish mackerel.
