October is finally here!! With it comes great fishing on the Outer Banks. I hope everyone is as excited about it as we are!
Fishing from the beaches is picking up good with lots of POMPANO, BLUEFISH, SEA MULLET, FLOUNDER, keeper size PUPPY DRUM, and LOTS of BIG DRUM being caught all around.
On the piers the BLUEFISH, SPANISH MACKEREL, FALSE ALBACORE, PINFISH, POMPANO, FLOUNDER, DRUM, a few TROUT, and a few COBIA are still being caught.
Inshore boats are having a blast right now with the PUPPY DRUM, BIG DRUM, SPANISH MACKEREL, BLUEFISH and TROUT. The trout fishing is really starting to pick back up. Trout are being caught few and far between on the ocean side, most of them are still in the sound.
The Offshore fleet are having good catches of MAHI, WHITE MARLIN, BLUE MARLIN, SAILFISH, BLACKFIN TUNA, some WAHOO.
Coming up this week we have the annual Nags Head Surf Fishing Tournament. As anglers prepare for fishing Thursday and Friday, we will be fully stocked with Mullet in all sizes, Horse, Cobs, and fingers. As well as fresh shrimp and any other baits you may need! Come by and check us out or just say HI and show off the fish you've caught.
