Yesterday the Offshore fleet caught YELLOWFIN, BIGEYE, MAHI, and TILEFISH. Some boats were able to stay away from the sharks. The Haphazard caught 5 BIGEYE and two YELLOWFIN. The BIGEYE picture below is from their trip today.
Inshore boats caught lots of RIBBONFISH, few SPANISH MACKEREL, BLUEFISH, TRIGGERFISH, and plenty of SHEEPSHEAD.
Sound fishing was good today on the TROUT and PUPPY DRUM until the wind started blowing 25.
The piers and surf were a little slow with CROAKER, SEA MULLET, POMPANO, BLUEFISH, and PUPPY DRUM.
The SHEEPSHEAD below was caught by Katherine who works here at the shop and the TILEFISH was caught by Maddie who also works here. The OE guys need to step it up.
