Great day of fishing yesterday from offshore to the sand. The Trophy Hunter fishing out of Pirates Cove Marina had a great catch of yellowfin today. Hopefully this is start of some good yellowfin action. Finally anglers are crushing the puppy drum off of the piers and beach in the Nags Head area. Also trout up to 20inches have been mixed in with the puppy drum. The little bridge has been good with trout, puppy drum, and catfish. Their are more drum than we have seen in years. On Hatteras island and Ocracoke they are catching tons of sea mullet and blow toads. One of our customers had over 100 sea mullet and blow toads between him and a couple friends. Big drum are being caught at the point, Hatteras inlet, and Ocracoke.
