The offshore fleet was hoping to go fishing but with the big left over swell nobody wanted to cross the bar. The water was washing over highway 12 in several spots this morning. This afternoon the swell died out a lot so tomorrow there will be plenty of boats going. Beach fishing was nonexistent today because of the swell. With the SW winds the next couple day I imagine the point in Buxton with be a popular spot. Sound fishing today was really good with great catches of trout and scattered stripers. Freshwater fishing was really good today with some friends of mine catching a cooler full of crappie in Moyock.
