Offshore from Oregon Inlet
Inshore from Oregon Inlet

The boats out of Oregon Inlet Fishing Center had another spectacular day following 2 lay days, due to Julia's refusal to leave!  Off-Shore anglers were busy today hauling in limits of mahi mahi, yellow-fin tuna, a few black-fin tuna, and wahoo.  One yellow-fin tuna earned a super angler a trophy citation, weighing in at 74 pounds! More than half of the boats returned in sporting those coveted billfish flags, as well.

Near-Shore anglers had very good fishing, both morning and afternoon trips, pulling in good numbers of bluefish and spanish macs, along with a few albacore. In-Shore anglers enjoyed good fishing, both morning and afternoon trips. Anglers had excellent catches of speckled trout on multiple boats today, pulling in some hefty keepers! There were also plenty of bluefish and spanish macs to go around!

Anglers aboard the Miss Oregon Inlet enjoyed some great grey trout action this, reeling in some of these best catches we've seen in quite some time. There were also a few very nice flounder, sea mullet, puffers, pigs, pins, spot, croaker, and sea bass, as well.
