Event Description:
Pocosin Arts welcomes state Poet Laureate, Jaki Shelton Green, and Maine Poet Laureate, Stuart Kestenbaum, with a fun community pig pickin'. The public is welcome at this event, held at the historic Riverview House in downtown Columbia. Green owns SistaWRITE and is the co-partner with Dream Yourself Awake and Vertikal Creative Ventures, and her work and focus feature the North Carolina's diverse communities. Kestenbaum has authored four collections of poems and served as former director of Haystack Mountain School of Craft.
