Surfing for Autism
Surfing Event Details
The 2018 Surfing for Autism event will be held at Jennette’s Pier in Nags Head, NC. We’re offering a Meet & Greet Friday night before the surfing event, providing an opportunity to meet other families and share time together. After dinner, siblings of children with autism will have the opportunity to go fishing off the pier, while children with autism can go down to the beach to learn some surfing skills in the sand.
The surfing event begins first thing Saturday morning. Children will surf in assigned heats but activities for the entire family are available on-site throughout the event. A boxed lunch is provided.
8:30am-2:00pm: Merchandise available for purchase.
9:00am-1:00pm: Individuals with autism go surfing.
1:00pm-2:00pm: Lunch for volunteers, family, and individuals with autism.
Surfing for Autism is offered free of charge thanks to the generous support of our sponsors.
