Founders and owners Joe Jr. and Ann Lamb laid the groundwork for their vacation rental and real estate business in 1968 and have worked hard for decades to uphold the same principles it was built upon: family, exceptional individualized service to homeowners and renters, and longstanding community relationships.
Joe Jr. first fell in love with the Outer Banks on his fondly remembered childhood vacations to the beach, recalling the pristine, untouched shores set against the endless blue backdrop of sky and sea as a paradise.
“There were many times I would sit on the front porch and never see or hear a car,” Joe Jr. reminisces. “There was one road, what is now the beach road. Everyone knew each other.”
Since then, though so much about the Outer Banks has evolved, the Lamb family has been committed to enriching and supporting the local community, upholding a tradition of hospitality and service.
Today, three generations of the Lamb family collaborate to fulfill the needs of their clients. Children Zee Lamb, Joseph Lamb III and Pat Hardy along with her husband, Dan Hardy, all sit in the company’s core roles, overseeing operations and management. Grandchildren Joey, Patrick, Katie and Daniel also proudly work alongside their family. With the fundamental values Joe Jr. and Ann established early on, handing the reins over to the next generations was always in the cards.
