Meet The 2026 Cast! Our 2026 cast feature today is a familiar face to anyone who has been to the Waterside Theatre in the last ten years, our very own Joey Cassella!

𝐉𝐨𝐞𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚 (𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡, 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫, 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫) is thrilled to be returning to The Lost Colony for his 10th season with the company and 3rd season as the show’s Associate Director. A local from Kill Devil Hills Joey is honored to be apart of a show that is deeply woven into the fabric of the Outer Banks. A proud Alumnus of James Madison University, Joey has been acting professionally for the past decade in regional productions such as Anything Goes at The Wick, Three Musketeers and A Christmas Carol at Virginia Stage Company. He’s also appeared in commercials for Dr. Squatch Soaps, Birdova Golf, Ameris Bank, Sun Heist Eyewear, Clip Hire, Comet Clip Flashlights, Access Health CT and Shocktop Beer. Recently, Joey has begun pursuing his Master’s in Sports Media and Communication at Sacred Heart University. While attending school Joey has been working as a sideline reporter for the school’s Football, Basketball and Hockey broadcasts which air on ESPN +, Amazon Prime and SNY. He also host’s the weekly sports show Sports Buzz. Joey would like to thank his parents for their continuous support of his dreams, Jeff Whiting for bringing him onto the creative team and empowering him to grow as an artist and leader, Jason Paul Tate for his mentorship and Lily for her love and support. Joey is dedicating his season to his one year old nephew Lincoln, who has been a light in his family’s life since he was born!

Meet the Cast! We're a little over a month away from the 2026 season of The Lost Colony officially beginning! We're thrilled to introduce two more of the incredible artists gracing the stage of the Waterside Theatre this summer.

𝐊𝐞𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐫 (𝐄𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐞) is a rising junior BFA Musical Theatre major and Public Relations minor at the University of Alabama. Born in NYC and raised in Indiana, Keegan is so excited to spend the summer in North Carolina performing in The Lost Colony! Previous credits include: Mean Girls (Cady Heron), Alice By Heart (Alice Spencer), Cinderella (Cinderella), and Cabaret (female swing/dance captain). Thank you to the cast and crew for a great experience!

𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐆𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐳 (𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐞) is an upcoming junior at William & Mary double majoring in theatre and government. This is his first professional theatrical production credit. He is honored to be sharing the stage with such a capable group of actors while performing as Ananias Dare. Metz has been seeing this production every year since he was a kid, so this is really a dream come true!

We travelled to Tennessee and back - and brought home two "new" Bankers, Maria and Carols! Here is them on their first morning back on the CWHF farm! 🐎

Long story short, they are back on the farm after being adopted because they became intolerant of the grass in Tennessee. You may have met Maria last summer at the Meet a Mustang event, and we welcome her back with open arms! While they were at the best home ever in Tennessee, everyone involved wanted what was best for these two and our farm here allows them to thrive. We hope you can come out this weekend and meet them!
