The northern beaches have been experiencing exceptional bluefish and Spanish mackerel fishing, with some blues exceeding 10 pounds. There has also been catches of sheepshead, pompano, scattered puppy drum, and a few cobia.
The little bridge is still producing trout and small bottom fish.
Cape Hatteras has reported catches of Spanish, bluefish, sea mullet, pompano, and puppy drum.
