Corolla to Nags Head Piers
Corolla to Nags Head Surf
Corolla to Nags Head Sound

John is keeping hopes alive!! Despite the strong northwest wind, we are having the fishing has been tough but John saw a false albacore school going nuts while fishing in Duck and got into the action, well done John, and thanks for the report. The reports have been non-existent with these winds it's making holding the bottom very difficult so being able to adapt is key. There has been a good mix of fish of late and species we don't normally see along the beach up here. There have been albacore schools around the surf and piers and we have had some ribbonfish and pompano along with drum, blues, spanish, mullet, croakers, and spot. This wind is going to continue and will only diminish a couple of knots each day so we are just going to see some bumpy conditions which is a shame because I really did want to get out there myself but there is still plenty of time for that to happen. The piers are quiet this morning and the boaters are surly not running today. I will keep you posted on what's happening up here.

Send your fishing photos to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com and we thank you.
