Offshore from Oregon Inlet
Inshore from Oregon Inlet
Corolla to Nags Head Piers
Corolla to Nags Head Surf
Corolla to Nags Head Sound

Back at it!! The north wind has picked back up making the sea a bit rougher and certainly did not help with my offshore trip as it was canceled at the last minute due to the wind, but all was not lost as I needed the rest anyway. Happy Friday the 13th to everyone we had Branden with one of our surf fishing classes went out last evening and as you can see it paid off with some nice drum!! First up we have Mark with a 28.5" officially measured by Cali. Up second was Lance from Westminster MD with a 24" drum followed up with Brendan himself your fishing instructor with his catch. All caught on fresh mullet and yes we have it!! Brenden does quite well on his lessons and if you are interested you can book a class through the shop he is also available to fillet your catch.

It looks like the piers had a decent day also yesterday with some drum but a mix of fish overall, Spanish, perch, flounder, pinfish, pompano, and black sea bass just to name a few. Along the beach up here I have seen and heard about some folks getting some nice drum along with a bluefish and flounder. We were out of the shop yesterday so I do need to get caught back up. As for the boaters as I said with this wind it is hard to get out but there is some good fishing on the inside for drum and trout I don't see any offshore reports for yesterday but the fishing has been very good and will only get better as we move into the fall season.

Charters are available call the shop to book your trip!!

Send your fishing photos to obxbaitandtackl@yahoo.com and we thank you.
