Corolla to Nags Head Sound

Another rough day! Double red flags today should say it all , I'm just wondering when they will come up with a 3 red flags warning system! Just wondering. Since that big rain the fishing has slowed way down but has picked up to just hit and miss so we are seeing some fish. Todays pic sent in by, now I can say resident Matthew down in southern shores had an ok day yesterday with this big red and he also had pompano, snapper blues and a blue runner which we don't see to often. At least it is a report from someone which helps. We are getting some drum activity from the piers along with blues, spot, croaker, flounder and sheepshead. The water today is dirty and if we could just get some cleaner water I thing the fishing would pick up, it's the time of the year to get out there and fish weather cooperating of course. Offshore even has been a little mixed up Mahi to the south and the marlin far north which usually is not the case. One boat out yesterday did nail the wahoo so even offshore has been up and down. I am sure it will come together eventually but I am just wondering when at this point, it has been a strange beginning to the fall season thus far.

Charters are back up and running and there is some good drum fishing in the sound side.

Send your fishing photos to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com and we thank you.
