Corolla Fish Report

Not much to say. The weather has not been on our side this week. Most anglers are struggling to get anything, and there are a few doing well, so is it the weather or the fishermen? We did have a report of a big hook-up, and he fought for a bit, and the fish leaped out of the water and broke the line. We don't have any ID on the fish, so let's just call it the one that got away. So far this week, we have seen mullet, bluefish, and flounder, with cut mullet and shrimp working the best. Bluefish and spanish on the piers today. The offshore fleet with yellowfin, mahi, tilefish, and sea bass, while the nearshore boats have been seeing plenty of nice-sized spanish, blues, and moonfish. A storm is forecast for tomorrow, and it looks like we won't see anything till Thursday and Friday for folks to get back out. I do see some favorable wind for Thursday, but I do know we will see more rain for the rest of the week will see how it plays out.
Hope everyone had a good Memorial Day and cook out, I know we did but we decided to stay inside with a nice crab boil. Folks that are coming up Outer banks Crab Boil can fix you up right and Matt does a great job. So if your in the mood for some great food check them out on the web, you wont be disappointed.
