Ocracoke Fun Facts, Episode 10: Ocracoke had a Navy Base!
In this episode we go down to the NPS docks (known by island locals as the Base Docks), and Philip talks about the once classified military base located on Ocracoke. More information about the base can be found through web searches and by visiting the WWII exhibit at the Ocracoke Preservation Society Museum.
