June 5 and 6

We had a couple of productive days offshore aboard the Country Girl.

On June 5, we were fortunate to fish with a great group of Amish gentlemen. Out of respect for their beliefs, they prefer not to have their photographs taken, so we snapped a picture of the catch instead. The day produced a handful of dolphin and several nice yellowfin tuna.

June 6 saw the dolphin bite really turn on, and we put together a full limit before adding several yellowfin tuna in the afternoon.

Two beautiful days on the water, great people, and plenty of fresh fish headed home.

We are constantly tweaking. New hours are from 10 am to 7 pm, 7 days a week. While visiting the Heart, check out our 1956 school room map of the US and tell what's different from the current map.

Don't miss The Lost Colony’s Dare Nights, starting tonight, June 4! 🪶

Dare Nights take place on June 4-5, 2026, with June 4th supporting The Roanoke Island Food Pantry and June 5th supporting The Beach Food Pantry.

Dare Nights are a general admission performance open to the public at a reduced price. Full-time residents of Dare, Currituck, Hyde, and Tyrrell Counties are admitted with a donation of 3 non-perishable items per person for local food pantries. ID will be required.
