Have you ever heard of the Steamship “Home?” The story of this wreck off of Ocracoke in 1837, though horribly tragic, is one of my favorite tales. I am fascinated by everything about it, and I tell the story at the Ghost Beach Fires on Mondays (OcracokeBeachFiresNc.com). Philip has written the full saga in a two part series on our website (use link below!). We are excited to have a recreation of this vessel as a ship in a bottle by Jim Goodwin. We currently only have one in stock, but I’m hoping he will create another one when this one sells!

In need of some ‘FIRE’ weekend plans? The gardens will host 2 Raku pottery workshops this July, on Friday the 24th 2-5pm and Saturday the 25th 10am-1pm.🔥
