Valentine's Day Menu- a taste of Peru

We've chosen this vibrant cuisine because love, like Peruvian food, is about harmony: contrasting elements coming together to create something richer and more passionate. From the bright kick of leche de tigre in our ceviche-style seafood cocktail to the comforting embrace of arroz con mariscos and lomo saltado, every dish invites you to share, savor, and connect.

We hope this menu brings a little Peruvian magic to your evening—because nothing says romance like food that tells a beautiful story.

We are so happy to share with you all the 2026 Artist Support Grant Recipients! 🤝 Artist Support Grants is a program funded by the North Carolina Arts Council to provide the opportunity for regional consortia of local arts agencies to award project grants to artists in their regions.

2026 Artist Support Grant Recipients:
· Jennifer Hyde of Manteo, NC was awarded a grant to have a branded photoshoot to create marketing assets for wearable art.
· Rhonda Bates of Frisco, NC was awarded a grant to purchase a jewelry bench, stool, and lamp.
· Francesca Marie of Kill Devil Hills, NC was awarded a grant to purchase filmmaking equipment and to participate in related professional development.

These three Outer Banks artists were recently awarded Artist Support Grants that were made possible through a partnership between the North Carolina Arts Council, Pocosin Arts, Beaufort County Arts Council, Dare Arts, Ocracoke Alive, Pettigrew Regional Libraries, and Martin County Arts Council.

This winter, our Community Winter Activities brought a little taste of Germany to Ocracoke with a hands-on cooking session featuring Mandelhörnchen (German Almond Horns). Popular throughout Germany, these German Almond Horns feature the delicious flavor of almonds and marzipan and a wonderfully chewy texture. Best of all, they are gluten-free!
