Visit the farm in Grandy and meet the rescued Banker horses currently in their care, and spend time with their staff. Attend a free screening of "The Secret of Corolla," a 32-minute documentary on the Banker mustangs, the culture, and lifestyle of the island, followed by a Q&A with the CWHF staff.

Suggested donation of $10 per vehicle at the gate.

The Afterschool Program is in full swing, and we wanted to check in with what our participants are up to this week!

So far, the weekly activities have been packed with variety: we had Cast of Characters Theater Class, Board Game Bonanza, Choir, Upcycled Crafts, and GET OUT(side) Seed Hunt. Debbie guided the kids through making creme puffs (and yes, they were delicious!), the Construction Crew built bridges, Lou Castro taught ukulele lessons, students squared off in chess club, putting their best strategies to the test.

From music to baking to games of wit, the afternoons are full of creativity, learning, and fun!

Join us for the 3rd Annual Pubkin Patch Kid’s Event on October 11th (rain date: October 25th) at the Outer Banks Brewing Station Backyard! From 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, enjoy fall-themed treats, free pony rides, a petting zoo, pumpkin painting, and more! 🐴🎨

"The "locals" (horses) don't know what to do with it," he said with a grin. He's referring to Carova Beach Park's new horse sculpture that was placed in the park about a week ago. "The horses like to jump the fence to get in."
