In Summary:

Surf Fishing Report:

The water temp has dropped and the fishing is slow for the surf and unusually slow for the piers.

Danny Daniels caught a whopping big Rockfish in Wanchese. I was told Danny kissed his fish, thanked him for the fight and released him back into the water. A true fisherman at the age of 9.

The winds are S at 9 and the water temp is 59 degrees. Overcast, small surf, med winds.

Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported Trout and bottom fish.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Slow.

Nags Head: Slow

Jennette’s: Croaker, Sand Perch, Spot and a few decent Bluefish.

Outer Banks: A couple of Croakers

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

Nearshore anglers had an exceptional day decking King Mackerel, Spanish mackerel, Tilefish, and Triggers. Inshore boaters’ fleet caught Flounder, Specks, and also decked some Triggers and Spanish.
