Event Description:
Calling all surfers, filmmakers, nature lovers, water weirdos, cinephiles, and fans of everything aquatic to the 5th annual Surfalorus Film Festival! Presented by Cucalorus and the Dare County Arts Council, this three-day celebration of coastal North Carolina marine culture is coming to the Outer Banks on September 15-17, 2016!
Surfalorus is a fun-and-sun filled cinematic synthesis of all things aquatic, showcasing the year’s hottest surf films and ocean documentaries with a series of outdoor sunset screenings and accompanying festivities.
This year, Surfalorus will be held in conjunction with the Design+Art+Science+Humanities (DASH) Symposium, a bi-annual cultural tourism initiative that explores the intersection of art and science.
