Yoga in the Gardens
The Elizabethans were fascinated with the exotic, especially the orient. Their gardening style expressed their delight in taming the wilderness which makes Yoga in The Elizabethan Gardens a natural fit sine the goal of practicing Yoga is to learn to control or tame the body physically and mentally. Unlike the Elizabethans, we aren’t worried about the Black Death or Bubonic Plague, but the silent plague of inactivity has spawned countless get off the couch and get moving programs. We know we should move more and why not start with Yoga in the tranquil setting of The Elizabethan Gardens?
Instructor Chelsea Quattrone teaches Yoga on the Great Lawn at 9:30am. The 90 minute class is open to the general public for a fee of $15.00 per person Non-Members and $8.00 for Members. Participants can arrive as early as 9:00am for the 9:30am class. Classes run each Wednesday May 4- Sept. 21 and is subject to weather-related cancellations.
