Corolla to Nags Head Sound

Cloudy this morning but we did have a report of one angler getting some sea trout this morning, woo hoo!!  It is still slow along the beach and I can't believe we have more rain coming on Wednesday, I have had enough. The water is 63 today and with a couple of more clicks we should see the fishing pick up. South of the bridge the fishing remains good with mullet and some decent size black drum. The little bridge still continues to catch there share of the trout. The nearshore boats doing well with blues, Spanish, bonita and some drum and cobia. The offshore fleet is very strong as seen in the picture above, are own captain Troy on the Carolina girl hooked tuna, mahi and unfortunately lost a couple of big eye's and he say's that the big eye bite is going to hit strong any time, they metered fish all over the place. The viability yesterday was about 300 feet all day long. There were big eye brought back to the dock and there was a blue and white marlin released. So hang on it is going to bust wide open out in the gulf stream anytime and the fishing is very good now and will only get better if you can believe that.
