OBX Bait & Tackle Corolla Outer Banks, Corolla Fish Report
Tuesday, August 18, 2020
Offshore from Oregon Inlet
Inshore from Oregon Inlet
Corolla to Nags Head Piers
Corolla to Nags Head Surf
Corolla to Nags Head Sound

Congratulations to Charlotte on her first catch !! Mom brought her in for her first pole and we got her all setup and she went to the ocean sands pond and caught her first one, so great job Charlotte.
The local surf a little on the rough side as far as the current goes. We did get some reports yesterday. We have an angler up in Carova that fished at dusk and did well. he had a 20" drum, lots of big mullet a couple of flounder, bluefish, and spot. So not a bad evening. It seems to take a lot of lead to hold the bottom right now so if you can get it to stick the fish should be out there. The piers have mullet and sheepshead and Nags Head reporting loads of flounder with some keepers. The nearshore fleet getting mostly ribbonfish right now. The offshore fleet having trouble getting out this morning but if you are one of the lucky ones there is a good white marlin bite. There are yellowfin going in the box with mahi.
