Ready for a fun day on the water? Bring your family and friends – even the very young and the young at heart – for a fishing or boating adventure everyone will talk about.
Miss Oregon Inlet II is a 60-foot head boat (in other words, you pay by the head) that takes up to 65 people out fishing in the ocean or sound waters. Four-hour trips in the sound are close to shore, while the ocean trips head out of Oregon Inlet for dropping a line in deeper waters. You might catch one of two dozen fish species on these trips, and once in a while somebody will even catch a skate or small shark. You can catch and release or take your fish home to eat (as long as they’re of legal size).
Fishing trips are offered three times a day – morning, mid-day and at twilight, and all you need to bring is your enthusiasm, a cooler to put your fish in and whatever particular nibbles and beverages you might want. All the rods, bait and licenses you need are included in your trip. You don’t even have to be an experienced angler since there are mates on board to help you bait that hook or take the fish off. Since the vessel is large and steady and provides shade, all ages enjoy this Outer Banks experience.
If fishing isn’t your thing, you can also join in on one of Miss Oregon Inlet II’s popular Sunset Dolphin Cruises. Watching dolphins cavort in the sound as the sun sets is an experience everyone should have – the colors, the wildlife, the birds and the breeze make a perfect end to an Outer Banks day.
Or maybe you’re interested in a private cruise! Miss Oregon Inlet II can host birthday parties, grad uation parties, anniversaries, weddings and recep tions, family reunions, class parties and gatherings of any kind. The boat can also be hired to spread a loved one’s ashes at sea.
