Shop, Sip, Stretch and Soar

The Cotton Gin was established in the 1960s as an Outer Banks shopping oasis. In recent years, though, it’s becoming equally regarded as a recreation destination. With the return of warm weather and long daylight hours, The Cotton Gin and Sanctuary Vineyards furnish a bounty of outdoor activities that capture the beauty and fun that North Carolina’s natural environment provides. Think of a visit to the shop and winery as a chic experience in the coast’s countryside. Enjoy Saturday morning yoga in the vineyards before you start your shopping spree. When you’re hungry for lunch or a snack, take a break at the Thyme & Tide Café. Or plan your trip during one of the scheduled music series, and sample the various food trucks on the scene. Those craving an adrenaline rush can take to the sky with hang gliding lessons and excursions, available April through October. There’s never a question of making unforgettable memories at The Cotton Gin … all that needs asking is which activity you’ll choose first.
