Artrageous Kids Art Festival
Dare County Arts Council and the Town of Nags Head will host the 29th Annual Artrageous Kids Art Festival on Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Dowdy Park in Nags Head.
Artrageous is a free, family-friendly event featuring more than 20 high-quality kids art activities from painting to blacksmithing, live music, dance performances, and more fun entertainment.
“We’re pleased that the Dare County Arts Council, for the second year in a row, has chosen to hold Artrageous at Dowdy Park,” said Nags Head Mayor Ben Cahoon. “This event epitomizes the goals we had in mind when we built the park: free, family-friendly fun for all ages and abilities, with elements that evoke our community’s art history.”
Artrageous will also feature local artisans selling their creative goods and a variety of local restaurants selling the perfect lunch items and delicious sweet treats.
Organizations and businesses interested in hosting a kids art activity and artisans interested in selling their works at Artrageous can find the applications online at DareArts.org/artrageous and at the DCAC Gallery in Manteo.
